Steve Fess is an Environmental Safety & Health professional with over 46 years’ EH&S experience (including 38 years at the Xerox Corporation in numerous roles managing EH&S programs and supporting Corporate R&D, office equipment manufacturing, site facilities & maintenance, as contractor Safety program manager, chemical and photoreceptor manufacturing, and a Haz-Mat Team member). He currently works with numerous consulting firms, and as a part-time EH&S compliance consultant.

He is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association Construction and Safety Committees, past Chair of the AIHA Construction Committee (2012 / 2016) and was elected an AIHA Fellow in 2013.  He is also the Past President of the Western New York Local Section-AIHA, a member of the Board of Directors of the Genesee Valley Safety Conference, Inc., the Program Committee for the GV&FLR EH&S PDC, and the Advisory Council for the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry - Dept. of Environmental Health Program Certification Committee.
