Mary Ellen Holvey, CIH, is the founder and owner of ME Holvey Consulting. With over 30 years of experience as a Certified Industrial Hygienist, she has built a career helping industrial, commercial, and residential clients identify, evaluate, and manage environmental health and safety risks. Her expertise spans indoor air quality assessments, chemical hazard evaluations, noise monitoring, microbial investigations, environmental contaminant analysis, safety data sheet authoring, and regulatory health and safety compliance.

Phil is the Director of Safety for Power & Construction Group, Inc. and has overseen Utility Construction and Maintenance Safety Operations at the Contractor level for most of his 20+ years in the utility and construction sectors. With roots at the field level, Phil takes a “people approach” to how he leads the safety management system within P&CG, focusing on behaviors and interactions at work locations with all levels of company personnel. Phil attended his first conference in 2019 and has been a committee member for the past 2 years.

Steve Fess is an Environmental Safety & Health professional with over 46 years’ EH&S experience (including 38 years at the Xerox Corporation in numerous roles managing EH&S programs and supporting Corporate R&D, office equipment manufacturing, site facilities & maintenance, as contractor Safety program manager, chemical and photoreceptor manufacturing, and a Haz-Mat Team member). He currently works with numerous consulting firms, and as a part-time EH&S compliance consultant.
He is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association Construction and Safety Committees, past Chair of the AIHA Construction Committee (2012 / 2016) and was elected an AIHA Fellow in 2013. He is also the Past President of the Western New York Local Section-AIHA, a member of the Board of Directors of the Genesee Valley Safety Conference, Inc., the Program Committee for the GV&FLR EH&S PDC, and the Advisory Council for the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry - Dept. of Environmental Health Program Certification Committee.
